  1. PRIMARY LEARNING for Windows, Version 4.5

  3. Purpose:  PRIMARY LEARNING presents fourteen educational 
  4. exercises for children aged 6 through 14.  
  5.  
  6. Balloon Man features fun graphics and tests a child's spelling 
  7. abilities in this Hangman-type game.  The program has 1400 
  8. words (at all grade levels) built-in or enter your own.  Space 
  9. Race is a spelling competition for up to four players.  Play 
  10. two different games:  'Flasher' and 'Scrambler.'  Spelling 
  11. lists can be saved.  Higher Math provides tutoring and practice 
  12. in multiplication and division.  Learn and practice times and 
  13. division tables.  In Math Race, up to four players take turns 
  14. answering flash card math problems.  Each player can race at 
  15. his/her own skill level.  In Lemonade Stand, you sell lemonade, 
  16. buying lemons, sugar, and cups.  You make your business 
  17. decisions based on weather and demand.  Candy Drive simulates 
  18. a candy bar sales competition between two school classes.  
  19. You decide which neighborhoods to sell in - the most sales wins!
  20. Stop Thief! gives you a chance to play detective.  Based on 
  21. computer clues, you decide who the thief is.  Different 
  22. difficulties and print options are available.

  24. Clocks helps teach your child how to read both analog and digital 
  25. clocks.  Use as a real clock too! Calendar teaches you about parts 
  26. of  the year.  Has tutorial and practice modes.  Draw and print 
  27. any monthly calendar. Keyboarding provides instruction in a very 
  28. important skill in the computer age - typing.  Learn which fingers 
  29. press which keys and take timed tests.   Kid Cards has three 
  30. classic card games that challenge your logical thinking skills:  
  31. War, Concentration, and Blackjack. US Geography offers numerous 
  32. exercises in identifying state locations, state capitals, and other 
  33. information about each of the 50 states.  In US Presidents, you 
  34. can take two quizzes or review information.  In 'Who Is 
  35. Missing?' you learn the order in which the presidents served.  
  36. In 'Name the President' based on clues from the computer 
  37. (including a portrait), you determine who the president is 
  38. (type-in or multiple-choice answers).  World Geography offers four 
  39. exercises in identifying the locations, capitals, and other information 
  40. about 100 countries of the world.

  46. Visual Basic 4.0, 16 Bit Run-Time Files (most likely already
  47. on your machine)

  49. Installation:  
  50.  
  51. To install, run the SETUP.EXE program.  If SETUP does not 
  52. operate properly, you need to install the Visual Basic 4.0 
  53. 16 Bit Run-Time files.  Follow these instructions:

  55. 1.  Go to our web page at:  http://www.jetcity.com/~kidware/te07000.htm
  56. 2.  Click on link:  "Click Here to Download Run-Time Files"
  57. 3.  VB40016.ZIP is written to your machine.  Unzip file.  
  58. 4.  Run SETUP.EXE - new files will be written to your machine.
  59.  
  60. After this, try the program's SETUP again.  If you need any help,
  61. just contact us - we can send you disks with the run-time files.

  63. Uninstall:  To uninstall the Primary Learning programs, 
  64. simply delete the directory (folder) they are installed in.
